RAMLA Foundation, short for the Refugees And Marginalized Locals Association, is a non-profit organization based in Kakuma, Turkana West Sub County of Kenya. Our mission is to empower out-of-school children (OOSC), children with disabilities (CWDs), and vulnerable women and girls (VWGs) from both refugee and marginalized host communities by providing access to education, entrepreneurship opportunities, psychosocial support, and life skills training.
We offer scholarships, safe spaces, and supplementary support services to OOSC and CWDs. The scholarships provide material and financial support for education, safe spaces ensure their well-being, and supplementary services include specialized learning materials and counseling.
We empower VWGs by providing education and life skills training, fostering entrepreneurship, and offering psychosocial support. Our goal is to help VWGs lead fulfilling lives and become self-reliant
RAMLA Foundation stands out by creating an inclusive environment for at-risk girls and children with disabilities, allowing them to thrive alongside those without disabilities in mainstream and special schools throughout Ken
