Gender as popularly confused with sex brings about ambiguity.Gender is the range of characteristics pertaining to feminity and masculinity and differentiating between them.Hence, gender equality is the social phenomenon in which men and women are treated equally.It is a very a sensitive bit of social life.
There’s an African adge that goes”if you educate a lad, you train a man.If you educate a girl, you train a village.” So to retain this fundamental right to human is very difficult.Therefore, education is the only agent that can decreases (break) the cycles of gender inequality.Gender equality should be the aim.As it promotes fairness in education, as well as confronting stereotypes and biases that have historically limited a student’s potential.
On the other hand, when gender inequality and patriarchy is prioritized in the country, there’ll be no progress, development and propagation in the country.When leadership becomes a matter of distribution of power in political aspects, then both boys and girls,men and women would ‘ve had an equal opportunities, better decision-making, better problem solving effective challenges to traditional mindset and enhancement of organisational communication would’ve been achieved in the globe.
Though women are mistreated differently in various corners of the globe because of the cultural, ethical and religious aspects but they are not to be aside from the world development.Their contribution is high, their potential is limitless.Girls are great doctors, unique personalities, scientists, creative workers and believable mothers.To aspire major factor, gender equality has to play its role to balance the opportunities by having equal payment with their male counterpart, women can provide better diet and better opportunities for their children.This goal is only achieved when ample efforts of both genders; males and females are applied as the tool of integration on this planet.
Though the economy of Africa doesn’t work much effectively because it is not part of global economy but gender equality had a role in setting it doctrines in order to accelerates social, political and effective economic development.Then gender equality as form of estimating gender discrimination;Its has a positive impacts which enhance economic productivity, improve development outcomes for the next generation, and make institutions and policies more representative.
You don’t have to be boy to support men and just be a girl to support women.What does this sentence mean to us? This kind of a question touches each one us individually and it has been discussed for decades of years.It simply means gender is nothing,males and females.Isolating girl and women in decision-making and letting boys and men have steps at the table over, over and over again is vanity.It’s a matter of fairness and is needed to strengthen democracy.Gender equality is a fundamental right which aids to contributes to a healthy society filled with respectful relationships between one another where society is transformed to “global village”
Gender violation of human right against sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) in the society is aggressive, rude, distractive, cruel, rough,or injurious physical actions and treatment towards the boys and girls, especially girls and women.countries and civilizations in the society, where everyone has the similar privileges to project his or her voice and beliefs on the way one act.
Although gender equality has been achieved at some points, there are still outstanding havoc distractions and disorientation of programmes to each and every sector in the Republic of Kenya where I take refuge in Kakuma Refugee Camp.Not forgetting my host communes Turkana County and whole of the global sphere.
Poverty has a huge negative impact on the planet due to failure in narrowing gender inequality gap in Kakuma Refugee Camp and in any other vulnerable Refugee Camps in world.The needy wander,roams nudist on the streets in wild because of the unmet needs.Equality aids in reducing chronic hunger, leads to long -lasting peace, benefits entire families and empowers all those who face discrimination.
